New Facilities

Psychology Building

In August 2006 the Department of Psychology occupied Phase I of its new building. This phase provides the department with nearly 47,000 square feet, including a 220-seat auditorium, technology enhanced classrooms, and administrative and student advising offices. It also houses 28 research laboratories for members of the Clinical, Social, Cognitive and Developmental research programs.

Construction of Phase II began in the Fall of 2006 and is expected to be completed in the Summer of 2008. Phase II will provide approximately 56,000 square feet and will house the Florida Center for Reading Research, twelve Neuroscience laboratories and research support facilities, nine additional Clinical and Cognitive laboratories and the Psychology Clinic. It will also feature a student courtyard and wireless technology.
